Been slacking on posting so I figure I better get to it. I do have quite a bit of stuff that still require figured to be based so hopefully soon I will be adding much more soon. As for these figures they go along with the rest of the Crusade figures I have painted up...they belong to someone else collection who will provide his own
Two batches here of miniatures. There are 7 mounted sergeants and a bunch of dismounted knights. All of these miniatures are part of a growing collection for this period for another individual. In fact, all the Crusade era miniatures on this site belong to his collection.
The following are just some more pics of an ongoing Crusader project I have been painting on behalf of someone else who provide the basing. The main emphasis is for the pics of the shields for inspiration and or ideas for those who enjoy painting for this time period. The majority of the project I did not use transfers and required some digging in designs of the time that could paint relatively quickly (nothing overly complex) as I painted over 200 figures and wanted to keep each shield distinct as possible.
These figures are made by the Perry twins and comprise some of the Arabic fighters during the Crusade period. Went with a middle east tone flesh color and lots of neutral type colors off white, creams and lighter shades of browns, khakis etc....
Some additional Crusade figures that I have added too. The collection is not my own as these with all the Crusade figures belong to another individual that I have painted them all for. The biggest challenge with so many knight figures is keeping each one with its own unique appearance.

I still need to find out who the manufacturer is for these figures. I have never seen them before and added them for future reference. I will update when the owner identifies them.
These will be the last of the Crusades project I have been painting for sometime now that I will post. Again, none of these are for me but painted on behalf of another individual who will provide the basing. Hopefully for those who are always looking for some ideas for colors, shield patters, or barding painting combinations there will be something of use in these to aid those interested. I know it became quite the challenge as I painted up somewhere in the ballpark of 75 different knights and wanting not ever to duplicate it can become quite challenging.
