Huns Group 2

Second group of Huns including some Nobles. For those who may not be familiar with the Huns only a small amount would wear any type of armor and fight with longer spears or lances. In my opinion the evidence for lance equipped forces is limited. I will in the future put up some notes for the Huns but suffice to say I am not convinced they fought in any type of mass formations like akin to perhaps the Sarmatians who had armored nobles with lances and lighter equipped horse archers. I am more of the opinion the sparse heavier equipped Huns simply fought together in disperse formations alongside the vast amount of none armored warriors and may have taken the front portion of the formations due to their greater protection.

Huns group 1

Might seem like a little bit of madness but I have over 120 figured of Avar and Bulgars cavalry in my collection but I also have another related group the Huns with over 100 of them. Could seem redundant (perhaps it is) but I really do like the Footsore line of these miniatures and decided to add them. I did include some Foundry and Aventine to the mix but the majority are Footsore so will be slowly posting some images of them.

Hunnic light cavalry

These of course are some of the lighter hunnic figures produced by Footsore and have a nice mix of both bow and javelin armed figures. I cant recommend highly enough.
