These figures are painted on behalf of someone I know who enjoys the Russian Civil War period. I have two group of pictures the original intention was to post the Ukrainian figures as online was not able to find much in terms of pictorial references apart from Empress Miniatures site. Obviously, the makers of all these figures are Empress. Anyway, I decided to post my take for the Ukrainian Cossack Infantry that fought in case it might be of benefit to another collector. The Empress site does show them wearing a lighter greyish wool hat though other sources indicated black was also used. As the owner of the miniatures specified using black that is what I went with. I did include some other pics of this period on some non Ukrainian infantry for those who enjoy this period and like some inspiration. In the photos the figures in the light greyish coats are the Ukrainian Cossacks the bottom photos are just a random grouping of other RCW figures.
