This is my second post to go along with the their heavier cavalry compatriots of the Gripping Beast Avar line. Again, as noted, the figures are on the larger side so I will only keep them grouped together with no intention to intermingle with other line of figures of Asiatic Nomads. As for the figures themselves they capture the look of the Avars quite well and consider them a welcome addition.

Looking very good! Getting light horse archers right can be a rules challenge!
Agreed. Eventually, I hope to to expand some in depth commentary on some of the historic tactical employment of such diverse fighting styles and potential rules ideas (work seems to always be in the way). And yes….these figures are nicely done by Gripping Beast and paint it up well. Adding in the details can be a little time consuming but the end result is worth it.
