The following figures will comprise my group of bowmen for my Carolingians. I used two manufacturers for them 8 from Artizan Design and 8 from Gripping Beast miniatures. I kept them separate from each other...the Gripping Beast are slightly bulkier but in reality once based up one cant really notice. The figures on the right are Gripping Beast and the left are the Artizan Design figures. Soon I plan to post all the Cavalry in group photos that amount to 96 figures worth.

95 British Rifles
Some pics of figures I painted for another individual (who will provide the basing). The figures are all from Brigade Games and are very nice figures with quite a bit of variety in the poses. The most difficult part was how dark to make the green. The uniform colors of the rifles was a very dark green but when wanting to replicate them for the table top one must lighten up the green (or else it will just blend in and become indistinguishable from all the black belts) in order to build some type of contrast on the figures beyond the actual color. I used AK interactive dark green 11410 mixed with some black for the base color then lighten it up with just the dark green and then added some Vallejo game color 72.123 for the highlights. Vallejo has redone its game color lines recently and wanted to give it a try and the newest released formula is much improved over the original game color line. I will add Vallejo is also working on their model color range currently. Undoubtedly, all the new releases of various paint lines has led to a reworking of many paint companies formula to stay combative which is a good thing. A few years ago Pro acryl was probably the first line that caught peoples notice which was followed by AK interactive new formula of paint and has been followed by TT combat paints (very good paint by the way) and the two thin coat line by Duncan Rhodes. Naturally, with army painter soon to be released reworked line of paint it is no surprise Vallejo has also joined in. Anyway, with all that said there a few french figures included as part of the retreat from Russia including a dismounted hussar and a Mameluke figure.
